2016 Planner Layout, Week# 9

Hi Friends,

Welcome back if your linking over from Philofaxy and please don't be shy of letting me know you took a peek. If this is your first visit, welcome and I invite you to take a look at previous posts using the label cloud on my sidebar. I'm excited as always to share my current layouts in both my A5 CarpeDiem and Happy Planner #beforetheink.

CarpeDiem Week# 9

Here's my full layout for this past week. I went with a Mint and Salmon color scheme in my washi tapes. This layout is looking clean and organized with plenty of writing space.

The wider deco washi is Scotch brand that I picked up during one of my many visits to Office Max. It's covering the water intake tracker so I jumbled all my activity stickers on that side. I'm still using up my stash of stickers from PlannerMania so all those are from her, with the exception of the mini check on Monday. The planner girl, bottom left, is from my Planner Society Kit. Sorry you can't see her very well.

I changed this side up by covering the "To Do" & "Notes" and adding my own headers. I didn't really take the time to see if I had coordinating stickers so using the washi made an easy fix to add more color. I used that time instead to make these headers and printed them on clear sticker paper. I definitely like the flexibility clear labels offer for planner decor. Sometimes quick and easy is all you need.

Happy Planner Week# 9

OK, at this point I can't pretend you don't notice the poor lighting. I ran out of daylight so I had to use my headlamp and I may not have been patient enough to take multiple shots. I'm sure you can understand.

This layout was created using demo stickers from GingerPaperCo. My goal is to create a new sticker set every week to really amp up my stock for the shop opening this summer. If you haven't seen my last post, I offered a full kit of printable samples. You can check that out here.

I am so happy with how this set turned out; It feels feminine and springy without being overly done. I'm leaning toward adding more elements to make a full kit. The birds have definitely been out in our neighborhood and the blooms are showing too. I love that you can really see the details in that flower!

My very favorite element in this set is the weekend banner. I also love how there are birds dispersed throughout. They are a beautiful symbol of the coming season without being exclusive to Spring or Easter. I even added them as the check box for the ombre list stickers.

Well, that's my short and sweet for this week. I hope you like these as much as I enjoyed sharing them. I'll see you here Thursday with some much overdue Appointment Planner Printables. Also, Don't forget, quantities on ready to ship product will be limited when GingerPaperCo opens, so if you want to be notified by email of the opening you can sign up here

2016 Planner Layout, Week# 8

Hi There,

Welcome back for another installment of weekly layouts. If this is your first visit, I encourage you to take a look at my previous posts to get a taste of my style. I know a majority of you are linking over from Philofaxy so I added a follow by email to make it easier to keep up with new posts. I'm so glad you're here and hope you like what you see.

CarpeDiem Week# 8

This previous week I started photographing my layouts #beforetheink and I'm so glad I made that decision because it forces me to get my pics done right away. Last week I used a special add on kit I made for Valentine week but I'll be returning to my usual decor in this planner. Since this is my personal/daily planner I intend to use stickers from a variety of resources.

Now that we're up close and personal, let me tell you who made what stickers in this layout. Those adorable little planners are from Two Lil' Bees via The Planner Society Kit. Also from the monthly kit are the antlers, the little things flags, and the plan tab with the flower. I'm using up my stash from PlannerMania; Shanni made the blue tub, the car, pills bottle, the dryer and kawaii camode. The rest are made by GingerPaperCo; including the journal and pen stickers you see down the left side. Please ignore the poorly sized date stickers. I haven't had time to correct and reprint my own.

I love how nice and neat this side starts out. Those are all Shanni's doodles on this page too. The washi tape I used this week is from a tube set I purchased at Michaels. I think I'm ready for spring.

Happy Planner Week#8

I'm really enjoying the process of staging my GingerPaperCo demo stickers in my Happy Planner to see how well everything works together. This is the final set of my first sticker kit; each set can be used on it's own or mix the entire kit to make it more your style.

I wanted to make sure I had something for everyone so for set three I pulled from the darker colors and added more of the hard metals and lots of text. This set has an abundance of bits and pieces that can be overlapped to add dimension to your layout.

The text on these stickers are supposed to be solid black but they look more like a dark gray or teal. I mentioned last week these are demo stickers and I have been experiencing inconsistency with black ink with my printer.  So I finally had the opportunity to upgrade our printer and got an awesome deal on a laser printer. The colors are now crisp and detailed.

I really hope you like these. Come back on Thursday for the FREEBIE printables of this kit. This freebie will be available as full sheets that you may print and cut for personal use only. These stickers will also be available in my shop but they will be reformatted to fit smaller sheets.

Don't forget, quantities on ready to ship product will be limited, so if you want to be notified by email of my shop opening you can sign up here

2016 Planner Layout, Week# 7

Hi There!

Glad your here and ready to see more planner layouts! I mentioned previously I'll be sharing my inserts #beforetheink for a bit more privacy, but also because of my poor handwriting which you'll see below in my CarpeDiem. I'll feel better knowing I don't have to have perfect handwriting to write in my planner and show pics after. I can also prepare my inserts ahead when time permits because let's be honest sometimes I just run out of time.

If you're new here you may want to check out my previous post to get caught up. I introduced my two planners and showed my week# 5&6 layouts. I'm in the process of creating my own sticker line and you'll see some of my demos. I'm loving the process of custom creating for my planners. My future Etsy shop, GingerPaperCo., will hopefully be live by the end of the summer. I have lots of prepping to do but since I'm showing these sets I feel it only fair to offer them as FREEBIE sample kits. These will be full sheets to be printed and cut however you choose. Once my shop opens up, you'll be able to purchase kisscut stickers in smaller sheets for portability and they will include more stickers per kit.

CarpeDiem Week# 7

As you know, this past week ended with Valentines Day on Sunday. I took that into consideration and made an add on set that included lots of hearts and symbols of love. All the stickers you see on these sheets are DIY except for a few bits. The itty bitty heart planner you see on Monday and the no school dot are from my monthly subscription to The Planner Society. Also, the daily numbers were purchased at Hobby Lobby; I made date stickers but they were a bit off for the preprinted flags on these pages. I think I'll be redoing those and the week of sticker to be it's own flag so it can be moved around. The washi tape was found on sale at Micheals.

The journal and pen stickers you see above are doodles I did sometime last year. I'll be making those in a rainbow of colors to match most washi tapes and color themes. The chore icons are from Microsoft Clipart I used when I made my first generation of DIY stickers two years ago. You can see from these demo stickers I have some fine tuning to do with printing. I keep getting inconsistencies in my black ink, ugh.

Yikes, there's that terrible handwriting I was talking about. Just looking at this tells me what word stickers I should make next. I like how these inserts incorporate soo much on one side. I am able to track both business and personal tasks in one planner. Ha, I just noticed a stray sticker, can you find it?

Happy Planner Week# 7

I am so happy with this sticker kit; this is set two of three, last week showed the first set. I decided to pull out the pink, blue, and gray for this set. I know not everyone is into so much pastel so I compensated for that in set three which I'll show next Tuesday.

I'm definitely a pastel girl with a little hard metal mixed in. I love how soft all these colors work together. You'll find that I like to include quotes in my layouts and that will also be reflected in most of my sticker sets. I need to create a special sticker for the side bar to cover that calendar!

You may have noticed this set is more decor over function. I felt the first set fell short of all the cute embellishments I wanted to include so that's where I got inspiration for a full kit. Once again, you'll notice the inconsistent black ink;  Please keep in mind these are demo stickers.

I hope you enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed sharing it! Don't forget, next Tuesday will be the final set in this kit. Once those have all rolled out I'll offer the printables. I really hope you like these. Also, quantities on ready to ship product will be limited, so if you want to be notified by email of my shop opening you can sign up here

2016 Planner Layouts, Weeks# 5 & 6

Hey Hey,

I have some planner layouts to catch up on today! First I have a confession, I barely planned one whole week in January, yikes! I was in a little planner funk and didn't know how I wanted to proceed, A5 or Personal size. You'll see I opted to stick with with what I already have, my A5 Carpe Diem. I'm so glad I did because I'm really loving the extra space it has to decorate.

In an effort to keep it short I'll share what I did up to February 7th and return this coming Tuesday with my last weeks layout. From that point on, I will be doing previews of my planners #beforetheink for privacy purposes and because I have terrible handwriting. You'll notice how bad in some of these pics and that's why I sometimes use stamps and stickers.

Let's get on to the goods, shall we! For starters, I want to introduce the two planners I use for my Planner Layout posts. This first one is my newbie, the A5 Platinum Carpe Diem I received just before Christmas 2015. You can see from this pic that it's color is neutral, kinda like a shiny taupe. The inside is black with white polka dots. The second one is my beloved Happy Planner that I've used for most of my planner layouts on here.

January 2016

Take a look at the January Monthly page in my CarpeDiem. I love these colors for Wintertime.

Here you'll find week#5, the one and only week I planned in both planners for January. Most of the stickers in this layout were from PlannerMania on Etsy but I also included several test stickers I made. The blank inserts came with the CarpeDiem.

This week# 5 HP layout was created with test stickers from the very first sticker sheet I made using a theme I received from FreeDigitalMiniKit.com. I'm pretty happy with it for my first attempt.

February 2016

I couldn't do February without a Valentine theme; here's my version.

For week# 6 in my CarpeDiem I purchased new inserts from PrettyFiloPlanner on Etsy to better suit my needs. I decorated with a mix of PlannerMania and The Planner Society stickers. You can tell where I got my inspiration to create my own custom word stickers.

In the Happy Planner I used stickers from the second set I created. This theme was curated from PixelScrapper.com. I immediately fell in love with these colors and have been able to create my first kit with several variations. You'll see those in the next few planner layouts.

After all this planner decorating I did get back to work; I made & cut these word stickers to go with my printable inserts. Then, I needed to get out so the obvious place to go was the Target Dollar Spot. Take a gander at this before and after!

That was a lot of catching up to do so I hope you enjoyed this post. I'll be back on Tuesday with last weeks layout.

Exciting News!

Hey Friends,

I'm so excited to be back today because I am finally comfortable with sharing why I've been MIA. I've been putting my word of the year, Pursue, into action and that required I get busy working on a time consuming creative project. Along with that, I was reevaluating how I wanted to utilize my three different planners. Now I'm on track and ready to get back to weekly posting and sharing my layouts and the stickers I make to use in each.

I've made my list of different items I said would eventually show up here. I'll be posting these in the order that makes the most sense to my brain, chronologically.  In the coming weeks be on the look out for appointment related printables (with matching stickers just for fun!), my current planner setups, then finally getting back on track with my weekly layouts.

Now on to my big news; I'm working on launching my own Etsy shop, GingerPaperCo. I hope to offer all kinds of planner related goodies like stickers, clips, dashboards, and whatever fun stuff I think supports the purpose of my shop. The shop is currently on vacation mode but if you gander on over you can sign up to be notified by email when we go live. Along that note, you may want to follow @gingerpaperco via Instagram to get sneak peeks.

I gotta get back to work so come back next week to get those printables to help keep your family organized.

2016 Appointment List Printable~freebie

Hi There,

I hope you've been thinking about your motivational word of the year. This is my second year following this practice and I think it made a difference in some of my choices. We can all agree, self improvement is important to our personal growth. My word this year is Pursue because I'm moving into a new season as a mom with my youngest starting Kindergarten in August. This gives me the opportunity to pursue new adventures and I'm gonna go for it.

This year I will keep moving forward in the areas that are most important to me and my family. As a jump start, I began the application process to start college in the fall and I began prepping for the launch my Etsy shop. I've had these ideas lingering in my mind for years but for obvious reasons I had to wait until my boys got older. Eventually, I'm hoping to fund my courses through my shop. I will go into more detail when I have more finished product.

Until then, I want to share a printable I made awhile ago that has been very useful for this time of year. I use this form to log the appointments that each of my family members will need to have based on what is covered through our insurance plans.
Here's a screen print of what the pdf looks like. I use a personal sized filofax so I made one file for the standard inserts and a second file in the size I like to use, 4x7 for more room. This is the first time I've shared a file online so hopefully it will work out right.

What you see in the image is what would print on letter size paper. You can print this on the paper of your choice, including scrapbook paper. The outer lines are your cut lines, so it should be easy whether you use scissors or a cutter. You have room to add four family members per sheet; use the dotted lines as your guide for each name. I start my form by marking "N/A" in the slots I don't have a need for (ie: under the male members for the Women's Wellness appointments). I use the NOTES for what days work best for each member as a reminder when I make the calls. If needed, while on the call, I verify how much will be required out of pocket and notate accordingly.

This form has helped me keep tabs on what my family needs done while making sure I get what we pay for on our insurance. I hope this is just as useful for you.

Well, that's it for now. I have several more printables that tie into this one so I may be rolling those out soon too. I've also been going through a planner needs change that I may get the time to share eventually but don't hold me to it yet.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year Friends!

I can't believe how quickly the holidays have gone. There are so many great things that come out of this season that ends with a celebration. I'm really excited for what this new year brings as I have the opportunity to evaluate major and minor goals on my list.

Today I want to quickly share my word of the year that I believe will motivate me to success... Pursue. When I think of this word I get the feeling of being propelled forward; I want to do something to achieve a victory. I like that I don't feel the burden of a major endeavor but that I'm already succeeding in the forward motion. There's freedom in taking one step at a time and focusing on the paths directly in front of me. By the end of the day, I'll have  pursued many things, feel good about myself, and hopefully excited to do it again tomorrow.

That's it for now, I'm still working on my mental list but I plan to pin down more. I'm hoping to share them soon and hopefully they'll offer encouragement and motivation to pursue your goals too.

Until then, Have you chosen your word of the year?
